FRANCECONCERT is proud to present Boléro–Hommage à Maurice Ravel, a show whose choreography, staging, libretto and sets were entirely imagined by our artistic team. During its first tour in 2016, this new creation was a great success. Come rediscover it during the 2024-2025 season! A flagship piece in the history of music and dance, Maurice Ravel's Boléro is one of the most recognized French works in the world. As Ravel was preparing to embark on a four-month concert tour of the United States and Canada, Ida Rubinstein, his friend and patron, asked him for a "ballet of Spanish character". Ravel, sensitive to the idea of dance, opted for the bolero, a traditional Andalusian dance. This is how the work was born.
