François DEBRAS is an associate professor at the Centre d'Études Démocratie of the Faculty of Law, Political Science and Criminology of ULiège. In 2021, he publicly defended his doctoral thesis in political and social sciences entitled: The song of the sirens: when the extreme right talks about democracy. In 2022-2023, François Debras conducted research funded by the French Community of Belgium: Extremism and youth: understanding to act. More generally, his work questions populist, extremist and conspiracy discourses using an approach and tools derived from critical discourse analysis or Critical Discourse Analysis.
