► KEMMLER
Imposing his universe as a rap song maker, through projects such as "Rose", "Gris Cœur", "&Moi", which gives all the space to a minimalist and precise examination of what makes up the life of a being: life, love, friendship, failures, Kemmler, has been able to get noticed as an artist and collaborate with names from the rap scene known for their talent as lyricists (Fianso, Youssoupha). His new album "Alain" continues the work of polishing the words of the intimate, of feeling, in the vein of an OrelSan, a self-confessed rhymer of the failure of everyday life. This album is a testimony, that of a personal, artistic rebirth.
Music is no longer at the center of his life, for the first time in a decade. The announcement of his father, Alain, having cancer took away his taste for creating and made him make a first observation that he had never made before: his passion for music is conditioned by the well-being of those around him. He becomes a caregiver, supports his mother and experiences a romantic breakup. From this long process, Kemmler immerses us in multiple moments of life, where he felt, thought and healed his wounds. Each piece recounts a moment T of this journey, where after the shock, the pain, it was necessary to face and confront them. Kemmler, like any poet, looks his wounds straight in the eye, to better describe them and touch the public. "I only have my father as an eternal idol", he proclaimed in "Autopsie". His album takes his father's first name, "Alain", as a final tribute and can be listened to alone, because his speleology of feelings, at first glance, does not seem to lend itself to sharing in a community. And yet, his sad solo celebration is an invitation to collective celebration, for all the hearts that have been wounded and will be one day.
