During school holidays, the Scienteens Lab organizes week-long interdisciplinary workshops for secondary school students aged 14 and over.
This Scienteens Academy is dedicated to computer science. Young participants (aged 14 and over) discover artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, large language models and robotics through hands-on activities and laboratory visits.
For four days, they learn about creative coding, neural networks and robot programming, with the “Art & AI” and “Are computers blind?” workshops. » and “In the shoes of a robot”. They meet researchers from the Interdisciplinary Center for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) and the Faculties of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg and learn more about their research on autonomous robots and intelligent automation systems. Participants visit, for example, the Automation & Robotics team with its robot dog, the Parallel Computing and Optimization team and its drones, the LunaLab where lunar rovers are tested, the Virtual and Augmented Reality Laboratory and many others.
