The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps has the honor of inviting you to the 3rd edition of the National Civil Security Day, which will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. around Lake Echternach.

The National Civil Security Day aims to present the missions of the emergency services and to raise awareness among the population of the importance of the work of firefighters while highlighting the close cooperation with national and international partners. On a large site and thanks to the investment of several hundred volunteers, the general public will be able to discover during this day everything that the emergency services have to offer.

On the program:
- Presentation of vehicles and equipment used for firefighting, technical rescue and personal assistance;
- Numerous demonstrations of interventions ranging from traffic accidents to vegetation fires, paragliding accidents, animal rescue or rescue and clearing;
- Presentation and demonstrations of the 10 specialized intervention groups of the CGDIS (missions, vehicles, equipment) including search exercises by dogs from the canine group or the winching of a victim from the lake by the Reconnaissance and Intervention Group in Perilous Environments in collaboration with Luxembourg Air Rescue;
- First aid workshops with the possibility of participating in short first aid training sessions;
- Aerial passages with water drops by an AT-802 Fire Boss water bomber plane from Aquarius Aerial Firefighting
- Activities dedicated to children (rally, firefighter course, interactive workshops and inflatable castles);
- Information on careers and possible training at CGDIS;
- Stand and activities of the Nature and Forests administration;
- Grand Ducal Police information stand;
- Luxembourg Army information stand;
- Luxembourg Customs information stand;
- And much more!

Emergency service experts will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions.
