Faya- In English, this word phonetically evokes fire, heat and force. In Portuguese, Faia is a beech tree, while in Ligurian tradition it represents a mystical figure, a forest fairy. The trio combines these associations between feminine energy, anchoring and ephemeral magic in their compositions and stage performances. Originally from Italy, Spain and Germany, the three musicians Elena, Mili and Kristina met in Lisbon and founded Le trioFaya. Violin, transverse flute, guitar, percussion, as well as three-part vocal harmonies - The trio has developed its own sound. In this meeting of strings, wind and voices, the musicians share their pleasure in mixing different styles of world music with their own influences. Their concerts are journeys through different universes, inspired by traditional styles such as Polish-Venezuelan, Indian classical music or Italian Tarantelle, taking their audience on a vast journey of musical discovery.
