Carisa Dias, who was born in Lisbon to Cape Verdean parents and raised in Luxembourg, embodies the quintessence of a global citizen, which is reflected in her music. Drawing on the richness of Cape Verdean morna, the captivating rhythms of afro-beats, the softness of bossa nova, as well as the harmonies of pop and soul, the singer weaves together diverse sounds and cultures to create a unique repertoire. Her debut album, “Carisa”, the result of the encounter between tradition and modernity, is an invitation to a musical journey without borders.
