Discover two centuries of fortifications. An impressive system of fortifications, almost entirely disappeared since the Treaty of London in 1867, defended not only Kirchberg but also the entire fortress town. The first military constructions on the Kirchberg heights date back to Louis XIV. His military engineer Vauban, who directed the siege against Luxembourg in 1684, later reinforced the city fortifications. Feel free to join the two-hour guided tours of these fortifications offered by the museum.
