Paul, a young record shop owner, leads an isolated life in his backroom converted into a bedroom. When Laura, an employee of the neighboring bakery, comes to order a vinyl, he develops an obsession with her. However, his poor social skills and skewed perception of reality prevent him from seeing that she is not interested in him. As Laura's order does not arrive on time, Paul follows her to a party to apologize. That's when events take a dramatic turn.
