Zoom In: Musical Morning with Ilan Schneider
Born in Lithuania, Ilan Schneider began his musical training in his hometown, Vilnius. At the age of 15, he continued his musical studies at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv. In 1989, he won the first prize in the violin competition there. He further refined his studies in Vienna and, in 1997, became a student of the famous viola virtuoso Michael Kugel, winning the first Internationaler Bratschenwettbewerb in Vienna. As a soloist, he has performed with renowned orchestras and appears regularly as a chamber music performer on international tours. Ilan Schneider is the principal solo violist of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and a member of the Louvigny Quartet. Since 2019, Ilan Schneider has also been teaching at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg.
