In the continuity of political and documented pieces From the author and artist associated with Théâtres De La Ville, Ian De Toffoli, Léa and The theory of complex systems deals with the interconnections between the oil industry, Luxembourg's economic structures and climate struggles. The direction is provided by Renelde Pierlot (See La leaf à l'envers, Let Me Die Before I Wake, Mise au monde), artist associated with Théâtres De La Ville, who is also surrounded for the occasion by 'an international team.Mixing epic saga, exuberant poetic tale, narrative theater and documentary, Léa and The theory of complex systems follows a double narrative framework: On the one hand, The play aims to be a true family chronicle, which details not only the The history, entrepreneurial activity and political power of the sulphurous American multinational Koch Industries, one of the most important players in the oil market in the world and a great ecological villain, but also the family troubles which divided the extremely wealthy Koch clan. On the other hand, The play tells of ecological empathy, then the political radicalization of a young woman, Léa, born in Luxembourg at the turn of the new millennium and growing up under the shadow of a systemic global collapse. Léa feels the urgency of a system change to face the climate crisis, if necessary through violence. The presence of Koch Industries in Luxembourg, where the company was established for advantageous tax reasons, then triggered Léa's anger. Léa and The theory of complex systems retraces the path of complex economic mechanisms to show why, in a globalized world where everything is always linked, it is so difficult to save the planet.
