As part of the Red Bridge Project, the Philharmonie, the Mudam and the Théâtres de la Ville are continuing their multidisciplinary artistic collaboration and are inviting, after Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker (18 • 19) and William Kentridge (20 • 21), the director and choreographer Lemi Ponifasio to sign the third edition of the Red Bridge Project with his show سدقل Jerusalem to open the program.

In سدقل Jerusalem, Ponifasio turns to the image of one of the most controversial cities in history, eternally held in the shadow and conflict of divine archetypes. Eight performers perform ceremonial rites of prayer and lamentation that open the space for gathering and reparation. The libretto of سدق Jerusalem is a mōteatea, an ancient Māori tradition of chanted poetic song, interwoven with the epic poem Concerto Al Quds by the Arab poet Adonis and accompanied by a taonga puoro orchestration.
