Dust has invaded space, and the universe is nothing but ruins. But what remains of life amidst the chaos? This puppet show reminds us of the world's fragility, but it also evokes the power of reincarnation of the living in the face of its own adversity. Through a poetic metaphor, "Incubator" resonates with the current state of a disintegrating environment, our fears, and our hopes to see it rebuild.

Set to the sound of Schubert's "The Maiden and Death," "Incubator" is a short, lively, and melancholic piece in which an articulated puppet rises from its ashes. Like in an incubator, the puppeteer passes her hands through hatches to manipulate the puppet. A medical universe is thus deployed like a caregiver supporting a small creature's development. Isolated and dismembered, the puppet manages to rebuild itself and regain the integrity that allows it to welcome the creature it cherishes.
