Luxembourgish female composers from the past and present in dialogue. Helen Buchholtz’s Salon is the perfect place for the meeting of composers from past and present. Noemi Deitz has recently published the biography of composer Helen Buchholtz – 'Komponieren zwischen zwei Welten' in the series Europäische Komponistinnen by Böhlau publishers, the same house that published Lou Koster – Komponieren in Luxemburg by Danielle Roster in 2020. During a panel discussion with contemporary composers in residence at Helen Buchholtz’s Salon, Tatsiana Zelianko and Nigji Sanges, they will explore the challenges, opportunities, and innovations that have marked women's journey in the field of musical creation. Through a dynamic dialogue, this discussion will highlight the remarkable achievements of composers from yesterday and today. The research team of MuGi.lu (Music and Gender in Luxembourg) will present two new Internet portals dedicated to the biographies and works of composers Nigji Sanges and Tatsiana Zelianko. The day will conclude with the recital 'Träume', designed and performed by the German soprano Gerlinde Sämann and pianist Claude Weber, including compositions by these Luxembourgish composers and other dreamlike works.
