A playful talk on the astonishing intelligence of flowers
On the Sexuality of Orchids is a conference-show in which Sofia Teillet, an actress disguised as a conference mistress, discusses and digresses about the reproduction of the orchid: how the male sex (pollen) meets the female sex (pistil). This seemingly simple act turns out to be a complex and technical operation. Surprisingly, its detailed analysis reveals insights into various topics, such as the vanity of the tyrannosaur, the invention of pétanque, the romantic model of the abyssal anglerfish, and the meaning of life (not the meaning of life... or is it).
