Every year, tons of perfectly good clothes and books end up in landfill, directly contributing to climate change.

To counter this trend, the large hall of the Schluechthaus is transformed into a real flea market: on one side, a sale of second-hand clothes, and on the other, a market of second-hand books organized by voluntary associations active in this field.

The book fair is an ecological and economical alternative to buying new books.

As part of its commitment to promoting the circular economy, the city of Luxembourg invites all interested people to offer their items for sale to join the party.

All proceeds from sales will be donated to charity

Information about sellers:
Interested vendors should submit their applications by email by Saturday, October 12, 2024. Tables will be assigned in the order in which applications are received and participants must bring their own exhibition materials (rack, display stand, hangers, etc.). You can click on "write to the organizer" to send your application.

Information regarding book exchanges:
Participating in the Schluechthaus book exchange is easy: simply drop off the books you want to get rid of on Friday, October 11 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Schluechthaus. In exchange, you will receive a voucher worth up to five euros, depending on the number of books donated, which you can use to buy books again at the second-hand book market on October 20, 2024.
