Take the stage!
Theater course for girls and boys aged 6 to 9
organized by the Dante Alighieri Society and the Italian Bookshop of Luxembourg.
Course description by Jana Montorio:
This activity offers a fun and engaging theatrical experience, incorporating a range of techniques such as drama games, concentration exercises, improvisation, and the use of masks and puppets. The aim is to embark on a creative journey with friends, culminating in the performance of a short play in June.
A standard lesson typically includes:
- Physical and vocal warm-up exercises
- Activities to develop concentration
- Group games to promote teamwork
- Creative exercises and improvisation practice
- Skits
Benefits for students:
Through this experience, participants will have the opportunity to use the Italian language creatively, enhancing their imagination, concentration, memory, and self-esteem. Additionally, they will develop a sense of loyalty and respect for others in a collaborative environment.
Prerequisites:
Participants should wear comfortable clothing to allow easy movement during sessions.
Jana is a multilingual playwright and theater teacher, of Czech origin, naturalized Italian. Passionate about collective creations, she offers improvisational theater workshops for all ages, with extensive experience working with children and teenagers.

Schedule: Sunday from 15:00 to 16:30
Duration: 15 sessions of 1.5 hours, totaling 22.5 hours
The lessons take place at Dante Alighieri Society, rue St. Ulric 25, Luxembourg (Grund).
The last two dates of the course involve a dress rehearsal (Saturday, June 14) and a show (Sunday, June 15, 2025).
