Theater course for girls and boys ages 10 to 13 organized by the Società Dante Alighieri and the Italian Bookshop Luxembourg.
Course Description by Jana Montorio:
This activity offers a fun and engaging theatrical experience, incorporating a range of techniques such as drama games, concentration exercises, improvisation, and the use of masks and puppets. The aim is to embark on a creative journey with friends, culminating in the performance of a short play in June.
A standard lesson typically includes:
- Physical and vocal warm-up exercises
- Activities to develop concentration
- Group games to encourage teamwork
- Creative exercises and improvisation practice
- Sketches
Benefits for students:
Through this experience, participants will have the opportunity to use the Italian language creatively, improving their imagination, concentration, memory, and self-esteem. Moreover, they will develop a sense of loyalty and respect for others in a collaborative environment.
Prerequisites:
Participants must wear comfortable clothing to allow ease of movement during sessions.
Jana is a multilingual playwright and theater teacher, of Czech origin, naturalized Italian. Passionate about collective creations, she offers improvisation theater workshops for all ages, with extensive experience working with children and teenagers.

Schedule : Sunday 16:45 – 18:15
Duration : 15 sessions of 1.5 hours each, totaling 22.5 hours
The lessons will take place at the headquarters of Società Dante Alighieri, rue St. Ulric 25 in Luxembourg (grund).
The last two dates: dress rehearsal on Saturday 14 June and performance on Sunday 15 June 2025.
