Theatre course for girls and boys aged 10 to 13 organized by the Dante Alighieri Society and the Italian Bookshop in Luxembourg.
Instructor: Jana Montorio
This activity offers an entertaining and engaging theatrical experience, incorporating a variety of techniques such as drama games, concentration exercises, improvisation, and the use of masks and puppets. The goal is to undertake a creative journey with friends, culminating in the performance of a short play in June.
A standard lesson typically includes:
– Physical and vocal warm-up exercises
– Activities to develop concentration
– Group games to foster teamwork
– Creative exercises and improvisation practice
– Short scenes

Prerequisites:
Participants must wear comfortable clothing to allow for ease of movement during sessions.
Jana is a multilingual playwright and theatre instructor of Czech origin, naturalized Italian. Passionate about collective creations, she offers theatrical improvisation workshops for all ages, with extensive experience working with children and adolescents.

Timing: Sunday 16:45 – 18:15
Duration: 15 sessions of 1.5 hours for a total of 22.5 hours

Lessons will be held at the Dante Alighieri Society headquarters, rue St. Ulric 25 in Luxembourg (grund).
The last two dates of the course are two consecutive days because they include the final rehearsal (Saturday 14 June) and the performance which will take place on Sunday 15 June 2025. The venue for the performance will be communicated later.
