American Visionary: John F. Kennedy’s Life and Times
With an introduction by Dr. Bruno von Lutz, Managing Director of the German-American Institute Saarland, followed by the lecture ‘America Before the Decision’ by Carlo Krieger, former Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the United States.
The exhibition commemorating President John F. Kennedy’s life and work brings together images from various sources. It is one of the most exhaustively researched collections of Kennedy photos ever assembled, celebrating his life, political career, and extraordinary vision. Before television dominated media, photojournalism set the global standard, and the early 1960s produced some of the finest documentary photography. No politician was photographed more than JFK, from his first congressional bid to his presidency and the final tragedy in Dallas. Original photos from the Kennedy family archives and the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library capture his dramatic life and enduring impact, with both classic and previously unpublished images.
