Why were John Lennon and Yoko Ono in bed with a bicycle? On this iconic picture from 1969, we see John Lennon and Yoko Ono in bed with a white Dutch bicycle. Were they in bed because they thought the bicycle could solve congestion? Or bring us faster from A to B? Or was there something more powerful connected to this humble machine? In this presentation by Marco te Brömmelstroet, chair of Urban Mobility Futures at the University of Amsterdam, we will find out and learn why understanding it is so important for our current mobility challenges.
