Art of Being: Energy, Flow, & Form
Dance workshop as part of the Black Air exhibition How do we move from the composition of the invisible to the decomposition of the visible? What about our senses and feelings when something invisible like attention and love emerges and disappears? How do our bodies manage phenomena as mediators or creators of substances, objects, and atmospheres? How do we influence each other? Participants start with somatic improvisation exercises, fostering awareness of the energy flow by following breathing, gravity, and imagery based on artistic, philosophical, and scientific inquiries and prompts to explore deeper perceptions of our experiences and relationships with transformative visible/invisible and tangible/intangible questions. Some knowledge of movement practice will be useful. However, extensive knowledge of dance is not necessary. Simply bring your interest and curiosity.
