Thematic tour by Maurine Cagnoli. Whether you're discovering contemporary art or deepening your knowledge, you can do so through the explanation of some emblematic works of the Supports/Surfaces movement. The opposition of Man to Nature fascinates and prompts certain artists to repeat and merge two antagonistic materials.

This group of friends questions the legitimacy of the painting, the importance of the object, confronts the New Realisms and a certain death of painting. They encourage the visitor to dissociate from dogmatic rigor (represent, narrate, evoke) through simple forms: "our work does not demonstrate, it shows."

Supports/Surfaces desacralizes the artwork and does not hide any creation process.
