The Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe
Luxembourg is preparing to take over the presidency of the Council of Europe for a period of six months. Between November 13, 2024, and May 14, 2025, the Chamber of Deputies will also play a crucial role within this institution that guarantees the rule of law and the defense of Human Rights in Europe. A significant moment of the Luxembourg presidency will be the 70th anniversary of the European Cultural Convention. On this occasion, the Chamber of Deputies is organizing a round table to: reflect on the transformative power of the Cultural Routes in promoting intercultural dialogue and the sense of belonging and identity among European citizens; promote the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes and encourage the Council of Europe member states (APE) and partners for democracy to adhere to the Agreement; present best practices of cooperation between the Cultural Routes Program and local actors.
