How many regional varieties are there in Luxembourgish? Does the Grand Duchy have an official language? Are there any hip-hop groups that rap in Luxembourgish?
If you have ever asked yourself these questions and if you have always wanted to know more about the linguistic situation in Luxembourg, come and discover the travelling exhibition "Luxembourgish Language(s)" of the Zenter fir d'Lëtzebuerger Sprooch (ZLS)!
For young visitors (10+), a rally allows you to discover the exhibition.
At 3:00 p.m. you can listen to the Midwinter Melodies concert by the uni.lu choir at St. Joseph's Church (Limpertsberg).
Good to know
The exhibition invites you to explore the language(s) of Luxembourg. The title is deliberately ambiguous and aims to reflect the complex linguistic situation of the country.
The exhibition addresses, among other things, the following themes: multilingualism, linguistic varieties and dialects, history, linguistic evolution and the Luxembourgish language in literature and the media.
In addition to audiovisual material, the exhibition also offers interactive elements, allowing interaction via smartphone.
