What happens when the sound is separated from the gesture, music from dance? What presence emerges from absence? Aurore Gruel is a choreographer, Hervé Birolini is a composer. Together, they have invented new ways to envision the relationship between gesture and sound.
With this performance, they return to the essence of their art, challenging our habits. The diptych opens with a solo in dialogue with light. Then, in the shadows, in response to this hypnotic journey and its surprising appearances, emerges a musical piece composed from the sounds of the dancing body. The sequences succeed each other as inverted mirrors, each haunted by the absence of the other, offering spectators freedom in their sensations.
The "Hors Circuits" diptych is embodied by two artists who bring new perspectives to their art without being afraid to push boundaries.
