Finnish guitarist Kalle Kalima met bassist Oliver Potratz and drummer Oliver Steidle in Berlin. These three have become companions on a musical journey that has lasted twenty years. They have defined their own sound, pushing the boundaries of the musical possibilities of the trio. Klima Kalima draws from rock, blues, and folk to give their jazz a modern and whimsical flavor. Their previous albums have been well received internationally, and their trio won the "New German Jazz Award" in 2008.
