40 years ago, the history friends of Diekirch opened the doors of their museum. This event will be celebrated doubly, along with the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in Diekirch. The town council of the city of Diekirch, in collaboration with the National Museum of Military History, the History Museum[s] Diekirch, the Classical High School of Diekirch, and the Diekirch Cultural Commission, warmly invite you to the main event, the academic session, on January 24, 2025, at the Old Brewery. The Diekirch Military Museum was established in September 1984 by a handful of collectors and history enthusiasts. This crucial partner in the remembrance culture of the Rundstedt Offensive on December 16, 1944, depicted the daily war life in dioramas with the help of American and German veterans, which was a novelty at the time. Since then, much has happened at the military museum. On January 24, 2025, we embark on a journey through the history of Diekirch and the MNHM. Register by January 14, 2025, via the website.
