Norman: It's Like Normal, Except for one Letter
Based on the show Pink Boys and Old Ladies, rewritten by Marie Henry. Norman is a rather ordinary 7-year-old boy, but he likes to wear dresses. In the garden, the more he twirls, the more it flies, the more fun it is. One day, he is allowed to go to school in a dress. School trips will then become anything but ordinary and turn into an abysmal descent into the unknown, which is why we call it a descent into hell, because anything can be put into the hell box. Through the anecdote of clothing, this show joyously questions the relationship to norms, acceptance of difference, and cultural codes of gender expression. Never didactic, even less moralizing, it favors humor, dance, wordplay, and storytelling.
