Why do power structures prevent coherent climate protection measures? The Écologique Movement, in partnership with other organizations, invites you to an exciting lecture with Professor Jens Beckert, director of the Max Planck Institute for Social Research. Under the title "Does Society Fail in the Fight Against Climate Change? What Concrete Conclusions Can Be Drawn?", Professor Beckert will analyze why, despite the known dangers of climate change, necessary measures are slow to be implemented and how we should manage this situation. He will highlight the power and motivation structures of companies, politicians, voters, and consumers, which favor short-term interests over long-term environmental goals.
