Friendship in scores and between performers:
This vocal recital will be a little more than the title of the cycle promises since it brings together Christian Gerhaher, his faithful pianist for three decades Gerold Huber and Tabea Zimmermann. The baritone and the violist will perform Wolfgang Rihm's Stabat Mater, dedicated to them, while the trio will devote itself to the two lieder from Johannes Brahms' opus 91, written for his friends Amalie and Joseph Joachim.
