Tens of thousands of Luxembourgers left Europe at the end of the 19th century for the New World, and many settled in the village of "Belgium" and the surrounding area in Wisconsin, USA. The short documentary depicts the current networks of the Luxembourg community in and around Wisconsin in America - on the one hand, through the recording of live actions and interviews during the 38th annual Luxembourg Festival; and on the other hand, with historical elements that explain the waves of emigration and the identity they brought with them. Together, the story paints a picture of the close ties that bind the community and connect it to today's Grand Duchy.
