This Polish artist offers intuitive and free piano music that transcends labels and conventions. Hania Rani is much more than an instrumentalist sitting soberly on a stool; as an inspired performer, she places her crystalline voice over electronic layers that are alternately contemplative and rhythmic. In the vein of Nils Frahm or Ólafur Arnalds, whom she admires, here's a new incarnation of uninhibited neoclassical music.
