Head for Diekirch, birthplace of Luxembourg's very first cavalcade in 1870! The Diekirch Cavalcade is a not-to-be-missed feature of Luxembourg Carnival, attracting over 30,000 spectators every year. For this 57th edition, get ready for an epic day of entertainment and festivities throughout the town.
On the menu: a magnificent parade, a Family Place dedicated to families with entertainment and delicacies, a carnival atmosphere in the town's cafés... And after the big parade, the after-party promises to keep the party going until midnight!
Your programme in detail:
- Op der Kluuster’ from 12 noon to 7pm
- Bei der Gemeng’ from 12 noon to 6pm
- Family Place (alcohol-free zone) at the ‘Wirtgenschlass’ from 12 noon with children's entertainment and a barbecue stand
- Parade departs from Route de Larochette at 2.30pm
- Warm Up in the ‘Al Seeërei’ from 3.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
- Eldoradio After Cavalcade Party in the ‘Al Seeërei’ from 6.30 p.m. to midnight
- Prize-giving ceremony at 7pm
