Lecture series presented by Paul Lesch, organized in collaboration with the CNA, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of The Family of Man.
This lecture will highlight lesser-known aspects of the life and work of Edward Steichen. Drawing on a rich collection of illustrations, we will explore his multiple activities, ranging from painter to gallery owner, designer, botanist, nature lover, pioneer of color photography, director of the MoMA, promoter of emerging artists, to his passion for experimental and avant-garde cinema.
