Paul Lesch explores the history of The Family of Man, the exhibition by Edward Steichen, a famous photographer of Luxembourg origin, inaugurated in 1955 at the MoMA in New York. It remains the most visited photographic exhibition in the world. Despite sometimes being strongly criticized for its humanistic message, its discourse remains strikingly relevant.
