From the first bars of “Heath,” we understand that Butch Kassidy’s bandits have dabbled in the murky waters of Swans and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Coming from the bubbling London scene, the quintet gives pride of place to guitars, long hypnotic elegies and incantatory voices, also citing the New York no-wave scene as an influence, as well as anything that can make you get angry with your eardrums in the medium term.
