For once, trust appearances: the cover of Dame Area's latest album (named among the 30 best rock albums of 2024 by Pitchfork), with its latex gloves, torture instruments AND, importantly, its red velvet cover, expresses its content well. A mix of Suicide and punk riot grrrl, electro and noise, the Spanish duo's songs are experienced as an occult experience where pleasure is the result of adrenaline rushes, surprises and strange thoughts, where the pyre of the soul laughs as it sees itself go up in smoke!
