Film & Politics: A Certain Idea of Europe
Wounds of History: European Reconciliation in Cinema, by Steve Hoegener (ZpB), featuring film excerpts (approx. 30 minutes). The conference, conducted in German with key ideas displayed in French onscreen, will be followed by the screening of "Kameradschaft", a mining tragedy (1931) by Georg Wilhelm Pabst. This film, in French subtitled version, explores the collaboration between German and French miners after a mine explosion.
