From Saint Germain en Laye, birthplace of Claude Debussy, to Montfort l'Amaury, last home of Maurice Ravel: a journey through the colors, the perfumes, the lights, the inspirations of these 2 fabulous geniuses, monuments of dawn of the 20th musical century. Poetic journey through 3 masterpieces: the 2 sonatas, and the trio. Debussy's sonata for cello and piano, written in 1915: fanciful, colorful, elusive, almost improvised work. Ravel's sonata for violin and piano, completed in 1927: refined, magnifying the timbres of each instrument, a work imbued with homage and modernity (notably with the irruption of the blues). And finally Ravel's trio, composed in 1914, a luminous, dancing, vibrant, abundant work, a masterpiece of his maturity, and of all the literature of trios.
