Feminine creation offers a dive into intimate stories belonging to the field of contemporary feminine creation. The challenge is to justify the need to build a non-mixed space for self-disclosure that allows listening and care through the sharing of life experiences and diverse artistic practices. Thus, the definition of intimate story is broadening in the arts thanks to the numerous plastic processes available, ranging from photography to embroidery or from video installation to diary on the Internet. The self-narratives produced by the artists who compose this book therefore allow emancipation and recognition of their existence within a community, leading the public to project themselves into the works presented.

Mira Migraine, born Marie Burger, originally from Metz (France), is a writer. She explores themes of intimacy, boredom and desire, offering insight into her inner world.

She graduated from the University of Lorraine (bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and master's degree in Arts and Cultural Industries). Feminine creation: Self-narratives and readings of intimacy is her first book.

Good to know

Since the start of the 2023 school year, Casino Luxembourg has offered a reading circle once a month. Given the success of the first book club, here is the sequel for spring/summer 2024. The casinoBookclub, which takes place at the Casino Display, explores the links between art, reality and fiction through books proposed by members of the team of the Casino Luxembourg or external guests.

The public becomes an active participant by taking part in discussions around these reading suggestions.

All the books and texts discussed during the casinoBookclub will be available at Casino Luxembourg, for free consultation at the InfoLab and on sale at the bookstore.
