Their unique sound shows clear influences from beloved musicians such as Louis Armstrong, Eddie Boyd, Jimmie Bell, Leroy Carr, John Len Chatman (Memphis Slim), Blind John Davis, Champion Jack Dupree, Eleanora Fagan (Billie Holiday), Eroll Garner, Sammy Price, Roosevelt Sykes and Fats Waller, ... The Kid Colling Cartel, around the renowned guitarist and singer "Kid" Colling, presents his latest album "Living On The Wild Side". Describing their style as "Alternative Rock Blues", the band mainly plays Colling's compositions and draws inspiration from different genres such as groove, funk and especially rock - without ever abandoning its blues origins. "Living on the Wild Side" is a post-covid, wilder album that will highlight the transition to a so-called "alternative" Blues Rock. The search for a sound, the desire to keep a blues spirit without falling into cliché, to add a rock energy, and to wrap it all in songwriting, defines the sonic identity of this new Opus.
