In keeping with her parents' wishes, Anna ends up in a job in Trier, although she would much rather have been a singer. When she meets the well-known soul singer Colin, she seems to be getting closer to her goal. Unfortunately, he leaves her in the middle of the Gulf crisis. In seven episodes, ranging from cheerful to exciting, the author describes how Anna pursues her dream despite hurdles and mixed feelings, revealing what you don't see in superstar and casting shows and what it means to make your dream job a reality.

At the age of six, Karin Melchert gained her first stage experience in the school choir. As a teenager, she began her career in renowned dance and entertainment bands at home and abroad, and in 1998 her hobby became a profession. For over 25 years, the singer and songwriter has also worked as a voice coach for singers and speakers. She also writes specialist books and light-hearted novels, much of which revolves around music and singing. A life that has led her across the stages that supposedly mean the world provides the necessary material for this.
