In blablablastik, the new piece from the Kappkino series, a material becomes audible: plastic. From the white single-piece chair, the best-selling piece of furniture of all time, to the melancholic plastic bag scene in the film American Beauty, plastic is omnipresent in our world. Through the personal story of a woman whose thoughts are dominated by the fixed idea of plastic, the story explores the impact of this material on our lives and our consumption, both on an individual and social scale. Various study results illuminate this woman's monologue, offering the public a more nuanced and complex perspective on one of the most controversial materials in our daily lives, without being moralistic. In the spirit of the Kappkino project, the piece Blablablastik is presented in total darkness, allowing everyone to concentrate fully on the sound experience, and to create their own film in their head.
