Once upon a time there was a prince who was determined to marry a princess. But it had to be a real one. The prince traveled all over the world to find one. But there was always something wrong...
The artists of the Traffik Theater retell one of Hans Christian Andersen's most famous tales with drawings, objects and live music, and also ask themselves whether only a real princess can feel a pea through 20 duvets and mattresses. What would happen if a prince had to take the pea test? Or Jenny and Menni? And why does a prince's wife have to be so sensitive? What if she were just delicate and capricious? What would happen if, after the pea test, she didn't want to marry the prince? There are many questions that can be asked when reading Andersen's tale today, and Dan Tanson, Michel Boulanger and Eleonora Savini do so with great humor.
