The ensemble was founded in September 2013 by 12 young women and men. Initially planned by 6 young men as a male a cappella ensemble, they later gave themselves the name "The Duke's Singers", which is of course a tribute to the great model The King's Singers.
As mixed voices offered more possibilities, they quickly decided to hire more female singers and make The Duke's Singers a mixed vocal ensemble.
With their repertoire that covers the most diverse eras, styles and languages - whether sacred or secular, Renaissance or contemporary, classical or pop
