Cosima von Bonin (b. 1962, Mombasa, Kenya) is renowned for her sculptural installations that evoke pop culture, cartoons, or the animal realm, and for the acerbic and humorous look she brings to societal issues such as consumerism, mass entertainment, or contemporary art. In the first-floor galleries of the museum, the German artist will present works produced over the past ten years. The Grand Hall will host a new installation produced for the occasion. The exhibition is conceived in dialogue with another solo exhibition by the artist, which will open in March 2024 at the Schirn Kunsthalle, in Frankfurt.
