In his new creation, Luxembourg choreographer William Cardoso immerses us in the vibrant intimacy of two bodies that embrace, move and prepare to write the next chapter of their shared history – a history that, like a wave, is in turn a source of harmony and tumult.
While deconstructing an archaic conception of masculinity and virility, Angriff aims to make us reflect on the very nature of love, on this fundamental need that it arouses in us, and on the concessions that we are ready to make or not to make in order to be loved.
Intense and sensual, the piece transports us into "this space where the other is free to destroy everything that exists" described by Roland Barthes, and invites us to a raw and sincere questioning of contemporary human relations.
