For his fourth album, to be released in September 2024, Malik Djoudi asserts himself even more in these favorite territories: sensual and intimate, silky and hovering. As if the passing years liberated him from all constraints. Without compromise, his music is loaded with swaying rhythms. Written and composed by Malik Djoudi, co-produced with Adrien Soleiman, who has already been seen alongside Philippe Katerine, Juliette Armanet, and Voyou, and mixed by Ash Workman (Christine & The Queens, Baxter Dury, Metronomy…), this new album places Malik Djoudi in French pop, a major trend. In an era where musical labels no longer define an artist’s sound, crenoka reveals itself as a striking example of unbridled creativity. From the dream pop sounds of Boys in Lilies to the post-rock explorations of Thé Vanille, Nastasia Paccagnini, the talented singer, producer, and composer behind crenoka, has continuously pushed the boundaries of the expected. Inspired by a multitude of musical icons, ranging from pop legends like Madonna and Beyoncé to avant-garde pioneers such as Björk and Grimes, to underground innovators like Ana Roxanne, LCD Soundsystem, Vegyn, Danny L. Harle, Caroline Polachek, and Shygirl, crenoka offers a polymorphic style of alternative pop that is decidedly unique.
