Eileen was born in 1984 in Luxembourg, daughter of a German mother and a Franco-Scottish father. From a young age, she began writing and directing plays and musicals. She pursued film directing studies at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film (HFF) in Munich, where she directed several short films showcased at international festivals. She also spent a year at the École supérieure d’audiovisuel (ESAV) in Toulouse. Her graduation film, "WAS BLEIBT" (in English "TOUCH ME"), was nominated for the Student Oscar and the First Steps Award. After her studies, Eileen produced several short documentaries for Arte and two "Quickies." Her first feature-length movie, "MARIANENGRABEN," premiered in fall 2024 in Germany, Austria, and Luxembourg, and was presented at film festivals in Hamburg and San Diego. Since 2022, Eileen has been involved in the initiative "Angst essen Kino auf," advocating for more courage and risk-taking in the German film industry. Alongside her film work, she nurtures a passion for music; she founded the film choir "Die Vögel" in Munich and Berlin, bringing together film professionals to sing. She is also a member of the Munich-based music group "The Lone Dining Society". "One fine evening with…" is a carefully curated event dedicated to the work of an established or emerging artist. It provides an intimate glimpse into the world of art and its creators.
